Brunswick Part #: 14-860124-000
Purpose: This kit is designed to provide a dampening spacer between the traction wheels and bearing blocks to eliminate machine driving noise.
Tools needed:
- Side cutters
- Needle nose pliers
- 5/32” Allen wrench/socket
- Standard Screwdriver
- Dead blow/rubber mallet
Kit includes:
- QTY 6 of 11-185283-000 Spacer
Begin Instructions:
Start by using the side cutter to cut open each of the 6 nylon spacers.
With the lane machine in the transport position (standing up) and facing the underside of the machine, locate the set screws for the 10 pin side drive wheel (upper shaft). Loosen the set screws and slide the drive wheel to the right (away from the bearing block).
Using needle nose pliers twist the spacer and insert it over the drive shaft.
Holding the opposite drive wheel (7 pin side) against it’s bearing block, slide the 10 pin side drive wheel against the spacer and bearing block. Ensure that the drive chain is still centered in it’s frame cut out. Tighten the set screws.
Locate and loosen the set screws for the 7 pin side drive wheel (upper shaft). Slide the drive wheel to the left, away from the bearing block.
Insert the nylon spacer. Holding the 10 pin side drive wheel against it’s bearing block, slide the 7 pin side drive wheel against it’s bearing block and tighten the set screws. Note: There should be no side-to-side movement, and the drive chain should be centered.
Locate and loosen the set screws for the 7 pin side drive wheel on the lower shaft. Move the wheel away from the side bearing block and insert a spacer on each side of the bronze bushing.
Holding the opposite drive wheel against it’s bearing block, slide the 7 pin side drive wheel against it’s bearing block and tighten the set screws. Repeat the same procedure on the 10 pin side lower drive wheel. Note: As a final check, ensure the sprocket on the lower shaft is centered over the sensor, and there is no side-to-side movement of the shaft.
