Congratulations on your new NEXUS lane machine! Let’s get it uncrated.
Before uncrating, check the Tip N Tell indicator for signs of mishandling during transit.
- If triggered or if the crate is visibly damaged, do not uncrate—contact Brunswick immediately.
- If normal, proceed below.
Begin Uncrating & Setup
1. Cut metal banding with tin snips. Caution: sharp edges.
2. Locate the Serial Number barcode on the crate (also on the machine bottom placard). Keep it for warranty activation.
3. Release the 4 corner clamps: open turnbuckles, rotate tensioners counterclockwise, unlatch, then lift off the crate top with a partner. Lift high enough to avoid contact with the machine.
4. Remove cloth coverings. Cut anchoring zip ties securing caster wheels and handles to crate base.
5. Stand the machine upright on the crate base. Lift force exceeds 100 lbs. (45 kg). Partner-lift whenever possible.
6. Roll the machine off the short side of the base, lifting the leading wheels high enough to avoid dragging the bottom of the machine on the crate's edge.
7. Roll the machine to the lane and approach area while in the transport position (upright).
Removing All Transit Fasteners
8. Remove all transport zip ties:
- Open top cover using a coin/flathead. Gently lower cover and let hang. Cut two zip ties holding the cushion roller, taking caution to cause no damage to switches while removing.
- Connect red and blue battery cables; close and latch cover.
- Cut zip tie on the red E-Stop (leave E-Stop pressed for now).
- Place a towel under the oil tip. Remove rubber oil tip cover; blot any drips. Some oil drips is normal post transit.
- Lower machine to operating position (partner assist if needed).
- Open rear cover; cut two zip ties securing the Optimizer Bar.
Fluids & Power
9. Open tank cover shield by rotating the two side latches.
10. Fill conditioner tank (smaller tank) with Formula LV lane conditioner (leave ~1 in / 2.5 cm from top).
11. Dilute MAX10 lane cleaner at 10:1 and fill cleaner tank (larger tank) with the diluted cleaner mixture (leave ~1 in / 2.5 cm from top). For diluting guidance, click here.
