Lane Machine Tablets - Factory Reset

  • Updated

Background:

When all other troubleshooting steps have been exhausted, a factory reset of the tablet may be in order.

To Factory Reset a Lane Machine Tablet:

  1. Set up security for a Level II user, if it has not been set up already. Login as that user.
  2. Backup all patterns to your Private library - the tablet will be wiped during this process! It is also a good idea to take a photo of your machine counters and Lane Machine ID for reference later.
  3. Exit to the Android OS by navigating to: SYSTEM, SECURITY, “Exit to Android OS”.
  4. Navigate to the home menu in the Android OS where you will see numerous applications installed. Open the SETTINGS app.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the sub menus to select "Backup & Reset". Then confirm by pressing "Reset Tablet". The tablet will now factory reset, which may take 1-3 minutes.
  6. Once the tablet resets you will need to follow these articles, in order:
    1. Reinstall the LaneMachine .APK file from a USB:
      1. For MAX or ENVOY+ Brunswick Cloud instructions, click here.
      2. For ENVOY+ (tablet only), click here
    2. For MAX and ENVOY+ Brunswick Cloud machines, manually configure the Wi-Fi and Ethernet Settings
  7. Now launch the Lane Machine Application from the Android home menu, or cycle power on the tablet. Ensure the tablet pairs to the enclosure successfully.
  8. Add back in your Lane Machine ID to pair the tablet to your Brunswick Cloud account.
  9. Re-download patterns locally to the tablet from your Private or the Public pattern library.
